A Party Worthy of Being My Last

I don't know why, but I am still overwhelmed by the quality of character displayed by those who attend Zombie Survival Camp. Without fail there are 45 or so strangers who end up being just the type of people you'd want to spend the weekend, or even zombie apocalypse, with. I have attempted to figure out the reason for this amazing pattern of attendance but have recently come to terms with it just being an inexplicable but lovable peculiarity.

The difficult thing about meeting so many wonderful people over the course of a weekend is just that, it is only a weekend. It isn't enough time. Last year we decided we needed to bring as many of these fine people (and their people) to one place for a chance to all enjoy each others company. Hence, the founding of Zombie Prom. Last year we managed to get close to 400 people into the Palais Royale, a venue worthy of such a beautiful crowd. Survivors from previous camps got to party together in the most fitting setting this side of the the Z- apocalypse, a Halloween party. It was a party worthy of being my last.

This year Zombie Prom is set to surpass that. We have trained and made friends and allies of 150 more Zombie killing bad-asses since last Halloween. There will be dancing and revelry normally reserved for a zombie outbreak eradication. Zombies, survivors, and every other creature and costume in between will be in attendance. I hope to see you there, so we can raise a glass to new friends, alliances and another year without the undead.
