ZSC Meditation Challenge 2015

We are constantly going out and searching for more intense and extreme challenges. From 50km hikes, to jumping into a frozen river, we are always looking to push ourselves to our physical limits. But this month we are going to take a look inwards and try to improve our most important tools for survival… our minds.

Everyday for the next ten days we are going to meditate for ten minutes first thing in the morning. Before you grab your coffee or turn on the news, find a comfortable, quiet spot and take some time to clear your mind for the day ahead.

There are many forms of meditaion, but for this challenge we are going to use a guided meditation app called headspace. You can download headspace on your phone or simply go to headspace.com; it is free, easy to use, and we will be doing it with you the entire time.

There are incredible scientific benefits to meditation. With only a couple of minutes a day you can increase will power, reduce stress, increase immunity and it can make you feel happier, all benefits that we will need when we find ourselves in the zompocalypse.
