Hydration in the Apocalypse - Part 2 (LifeStraw vs SawyerFilter)

There is nothing better than a good quality water filter. I have experimented with a few but for sure there are two that stand out for me: the Lifestraw and the Sawyer Mini Filter.
The Life straw is a much more popular product. I’ve seen many people use it and I’ve seen it in most outdoor stores. It is a small water filter that is easily carried and can clean up to 1000 litres of water. It could not get easier; you stick it into the water and suck on it like you would a soda at your favourite restaurant. I’ve used it in some of the grossest rivers and lakes in Ontario and the water comes out tasting clean and fresh, I’ve never had any adverse effects.
I recently found out about a product called the Sawyer mini Filter. It is not as well known but it's essentially the lifestraw on steroids. It is smaller, it can clean up to 100,000 gallons of water and it comes with a bunch of amazing extra features. It can attach right into your camel-back, the bottom can screw into any plastic pop bottle, so it easily can turn into a water bottle. It comes with a straw extender so that you don’t have to lie down and put your face right into the river or lake.
The Sawyer Mini Filter is by far the best product I have found on the market. It is an incredible product that I take out all the time. If you spend any time outdoors or if you are preparing for the zombie apocalypse you need to purchase this product.
